Kerner Plus 40 Symposium at North Carolina A&T State University, kicked off by television host Tavis Smiley and scholar Dr. Cornel West. . This event marks the 40th Anniversary of the 1968 Kerner Commision report.

The Kerner Commission was the popular name given to the National Advisory Commission on Civil Disorders, chaired by Illinois governor Otto Kerner, Jr. It was also known as riot commission. The 11-member commission was created in July, 1967 by President Lyndon B. Johnson to investigate the causes of the 1967 race riots in the United States.

Jet Ski Mishap captured with Sigma Bigma

Was chillin' by the pool at the RIU Palace Cabo last year, when I saw these young girls going out on the jet ski, they seemed a little shaky so I told my wife "this isn't going to end well".  Grabbed my Sigma Bigma and waited for them to head back and sho' nuff!  The pictures below reflect them going out, coming in and the aftermath.

Lil Man's choice for Dinner was the always fun "Red Robin"" Burger Joint.  This one of those places where the staff comes and sings at the table if it is your birthday, the look on his face was priceless! (Embarrassed to say the least LOL) .  Also some shots of him in the kitchen at home with his birthday cake.  A fun day.

The Official Beaches resorts Group went active today over at Flickr.  I have added most of the shots I have from the numerous vacations at the Beaches resorts and will be adding more soon. 

My Wife and I vacationed every year at Sandals until we had our Son (ten years ago this coming Saturday) at which point we started going to Beaches. We have been to all the Beaches resorts and will be going back to Beaches Turks and Caicos this coming July. We Love them all. So here are shots of Jr. Ten years ago at Beaches Negril!
