Remote Shooting with Dell XPS Gyroscope remote control and the Canon EOS Utility .
A lot of new computer systems that have multimedia capabilities come with remote controls. For wireless remote shooting, I tether my Canon to my Laptop which has a Gyroscope remote control which I then use to control the EOS utility that came with the camera. Here is a picture of me setting up for remote shooting:
The camera is behind the Monitor, (yes I know the lens cap is on), The Dell remote can be seen leaning on the CPU. I just use that to point at the shutter button of the EOS Utility software and Viola' wireless remote. With this particular Dell system the keyboard is remote as well (blue tooth) and that is why it is not pictured.
